Design • Build • Maintain

Gardens that belong to the house they sit in.

Greenstone Landscapes designs, builds and maintains residential gardens across Cape Town. We take a garden from the first site walk through to the visit that keeps it looking right in February.

01

Design

We measure the site, read the light and the wind, then draw a garden around how you actually use the space. You get a layout, a planting plan and a build cost before anything is dug.

02

Build

Our own teams handle earthworks, paving, walls, decking, soil preparation and planting. Levels are set properly and bases are compacted, so the garden holds its shape.

03

Maintain

Scheduled visits keep beds shaped, lawns fed and irrigation working through the dry months. The same team comes back each time, so they know the garden.

Cape Town gardens

Every suburb here has its own set of problems.

A garden in Newlands deals with deep shade, acid soil and a lot of winter rain. A garden in Camps Bay deals with salt air, wind off the Atlantic and thin soil over rock. We plan for the site in front of us, pick plants that can handle it, and build hardscaping that stays level after the first big southeaster.

Water-wise by default
A garden that still looks full in February.

Cape Town summers are long and dry, and restrictions come back. We plan planting and irrigation around that from the start. Beds are built up with compost and mulched deep, plants are grouped by how much water they actually need, and drip lines are zoned so a shaded bed is never watered like an open lawn.

Indigenous and fynbos-friendly species alongside hardy Mediterranean planting
Zoned drip and pop-up systems on controllers set to run early
Tank and borehole connections where the property allows it
Mixed border of lavender and white flowering shrubs
Recent work

Outdoor rooms, planted borders and paving that lasts.

Where we work

Across the Southern Suburbs and the Atlantic Seaboard.

We keep our teams inside a tight radius so travel does not eat the working day and maintenance visits stay on schedule.
